Actor, Seann William Scott, probably best known for his role as the hard-partying Stifler in the “American Pie” movies, has voluntarily checked himself in to a treatment center, for an undisclosed issue, according to his representative.
It has not been revealed exactly why the 34-year-old actor, who also appeared in comedies such as “Role Models” and “Dude, Where’s My Car?” was being treated, other than “health and personal issues”. However, in the past, Scott has vehemently denied using drugs or alcohol, so the suggestion is that this unspecified treatment begun this week is not rehab as we would usually know it.
It is also not known in what facility he is being treated. However, Scott is well known for being guarded about his personal life and protecting his children’s anonymity and that of any particular women he may or not be dating.
“Anyway, I’m a pretty private guy so if I was going out with Britney Spears you wouldn’t find out about it from me,” he said.
So it may be left to others if we are to find out exactly why Seann William Scott has entered rehab, but it doesn’t usually take us too long to find out this stuff!
The actor also starred alongside Kevin Smith and Bruce Willis in the 2010 comedy movie “Cop Out” and recently completed work on the forthcoming movie “Goon”, about a small-town bouncer who is recruited to play for a minor-league hockey team. He recently admitted he was reluctant to re-join the “American Pie” franchise. He said:
“I did three of them. I had so much fun and loved the character, but I don’t want to be known as that character forever. Now I’m realizing that I probably will be known as that character forever”.
