The second group of 12 semi-final acts performed last night for the judges and the voting public as they competed for the $1 million prize and the chance to headline their own show in Las Vegas.
Silhouettes made it straigh through, which thrilled Sharon Osbourne, who applauded their unique and spectacular act and marvelling at how emotional the group were at making it into the finals.
The judges and audience all went crazy for the advancement to the next stage of America’s Got Talent for both Anna Graceman and Landau Murphy Jr. Everyone gave them a standing ovation which was probably well deserved.
As Piers Morgan said, there is nothing sweeter than when we saw wild card act Swank go through.
So, Gymkana, Steven Retchless, Professor Splash, Summerwind Skippers, Fatally Unique, The Kinetic King and Snap Boogie were eliminated from the competition.
The successful acts will join Team iLuminate, PopLyfe, Lys Agnes, Miami All Stars and West Springfield Dance Team in the America’s Got Talent Top 10.
The competitors weren’t the only ones to receive standing ovations. Susan Boyle did too for her first US TV first preview of her new album. She sang her new track You Have To Be There, written by Abba stars Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus.
The third album of Boyle, who was a runner up in Britain’s Got Talent 2009, Someone To Watch Over Me, is due out in November.
Nicki Minaj, Flo Rida and David Guetta also took to the stage to perform their hit single Where Them Girls At? for the first time together on last night’s America’s Got Talent.
