The twin boys of Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have not seen their absentee father in over three weeks. That revelation comes soon after it was revealed that Charlie Sheen considered filing for sole custody of Bob and Max, and just as the young children are without their mother. Their mother is in residential rehab. Again.
Mom Brooke Mueller had initially wanted to fly to Mexico for a controversial rehab using Ibogaine, which is not licensed in the US. However, she abandoned that idea after two abortive attempts. The first time she got into a fight United Airlines flight attendant and was asked to leave, the second time she rocked up without her passport.
One might therefore think that Brooke is not serious about getting off drugs and alcohol. But she last week checked into an undisclosed rehab center. She is expected to remain there for at least the next 60 days.
So, two-year-old twins Bob and Max have been without their mother a few days. However, despite her absence, Charlie hasn’t asked to spend any time with his sons.
The boys are being cared for at home in Los Feliz estate by their maternal grandmother, Moire Fiore, and their aunt. To be fair, that’s probably who has always looked after them, given their parents’ history of addiction.
But Charlie doesn’t seem keen to step up, even though he isn’t working right now. He also won’t be asking a court to modify access or the $55k a month he currently gives Brooke in child support. He is said to be scared the court would actually increase that amount!
“Charlie goes through phases where he is a very involved and doting parent, and then to the other extreme of not having any contact whatsoever with the boys,” a friend of Charlie Sheen reveals.
Well, if that’s what your friends are saying…
But seriously, shouldn’t Charlie Sheen be stepping up here? Or are the twins better off without his influence?
