Dancing With the Stars Round-up

Monday night is Rock Night – at least it is on Dancing with the Stars. And in a further twist to this season, the group performance will be a dance off! But have no fear, NFL’s Kurt Warner is up for the challenge of two dances, one of which is the group performance elimination over approximately 4 minutes.

This week saw Bristol Palin celebrate her birthday in style. Despite being at the bottom of the leaderboard after the judge’s scores, she and her professional dance partner, Mark Ballas, sailed through to the Rock Night round.
Fresh from their ‘Bewitching’ performance of the Quickstep, Kurt Warner and his professional partner, Anna Trebunskaya, are riding high. The routine (which had to be set to a TV theme tune this week) even had the cute little nose wiggle and gained them their best score yet at 24 points. So Anna doesn’t think the rock group dance-off will be any problem at all.

“The point is that you’re trying to stay and wow the crowd and the judges for as long as you can. So if you stay all the way to the end – which is about four minutes of dancing – you get 10 points. If you get kicked out right away you only get four points.” So – it’s that easy, huh?

However, for Warner and Trebunskaya – it may be. Their other dance is the paso doble, usually a crowd pleaser because of its dramatic moves and exciting music. So maybe their confidence is well-founded. If all else fails. Kurt’s wife is said to wants the father of 7 to show more flesh with his dance costumes.

Nobody leaves after the group dance but the points gained there could mean everything. Who do you think will stand out from the crowd? Who will go out with a four point whimper? And is Kurt’s wife right – is showing us the 6-pack and guns the way to go to score higher with the viewers at home?
