The rapper’s fifth studio album was due for release in November. However, the hip-hop star has now confirmed that the release was canceled because of an argument with his record label Interscope because of what he saw as a lack of investment in the album.
The rapper allegedly warned record label execs that they needed to step up over work on his album. However, he remained unimpressed with their efforts s now he is pulling his upcoming Black Magic album.
“Man I’m not releasing a album. I can’t believe Interscope is this f___ed up right now. I apologize to all my fans (sic),” he said on Twitter.
50 Cent vowed to work with other artists on their projects but he refused to put out another album with Interscope. The 36-year-old rapper also revealed that he planned to leak his collaboration with Dr. Dre online tomorrow.
“I LOVE DRE but I’m putting his next single psycho out tomorrow at 2:00.”
The In da Club’ rap star recently confessed that he was considering leaving Interscope and would judge his decision on how it deals with his new album’s release.
50 Cent previously criticized his label for the lack of investment he received for Black Magic.
It seems that 50 Cent was not impressed with Interscope’s handling of the album even after he warned them. So, ‘Black Magic’ has been pulled until further notice.
