“Gimme More”: Britney Spears Dances Topless in Alternative Video (WATCH)

An alternative music video for Britney Spears’ single 2007 “Gimme More” has appeared online, four years after it was made and shelved for further post-production work.

In it, the pop star is seen dancing topless around a pole. It’s a sight set to raise the heart rate of many Britney fans, certainly the male ones!

The track was released almost four years ago as the lead single for the Britney Spears’ 2007 album Blackout. The album was very successful and went on to sell over 3.1 million copies worldwide.

The original music video for the song, “Gimme More,” premiered in October 2007, after Spears spent just two days in a warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles filming it. The video was directed by Jake Sarfaty, at the personal request of “Toxic” star Spears.

This newly released alternative version includes extra scenes of Britney Spears walking down a Los Angeles street, pole dancing topless and giving a pet cat on a bed some very nasty looks!

At the time of the video’s initial debut, The New York Times reported that a “gritty, stripper-themed clip” had been held back from release. The intention was that it was to be tweaked by her advisors and released later. Maybe the tweaking has finally been done or maybe the alternative version has been leaked by people who are unauthorized. But either way, it seems that this is the original video the singer intended to unveil eventually.

Spears is currently preparing to release her new single “I Wanna Go” on August 8.
