My favorite moment of “Celebrity Big Brother UK” today was Amy Childs with Jedward, in the diary room, discussing who Sally Berkow is. Apparently “she owns the House of Commons with her husband” or she “she’s an MP.” Actually, neither. Sally’s husband is the Speaker of the House of Commons, which means he is charged with keeping order there. But we shouldn’t be surprised they didn’t know who Sally is; none of the trio knew what an MP (Member of Parliament) was, either!
Paddy Doherty might think that too but to be honest I haven’t understood a word he’s said yet! His exit interview should be amazing when he eventually gets evicted or wins the whole season.
But let’s take a look at what else went on over the first evening and full day of “Celebrity Big Brother UK 2011.”
Kerry Katona was keen to go to the Diary Room when Big Brother called. One would have thought Kerry would have seen enough of the show over the past ten years to know that would only end in trouble. She was given the task to throw a massive celebrity tantrum.
Her reaction was “F— a duck…I’m not a diva!” She had to do it, though, or face punishment. She had 30 minutes within which to complete this task. Her tantrum involved tossing around the Welcome Pack and declaring the “Big Brother” house décor well below someone of her status. Even Jedward were trying to calm her down. But it was cute how Kerry was struggling not to laugh while throwing her diva tantrum.
Jedward certainly were divas, encouraging the female voice of “Big Brother” to admire their oversized hairstyles and planning out to camp out in there. Meanwhile, in their absence, the other housemates were trying to decide the sexuality of John and Edward Grimes (a.k.a. Jedward.) Their initial grabbing of the only double bed in the “Celebrity Big Brother UK” house was sure to fuel that discussion.
Kerry passed the first part of her task but was then told she had to keep up the diva ask all evening, saying “Don’t you know who I am?” three times in a convincing diva manner. The third part of her task was to be carried out after lights out. She had to swap her bed, unhappy with the one she picked, and then swap back.
Talked turned to alcohol and we discovered that Sally Berkow doesn’t drink anymore as she used to “have a problem with it.” Let’s see how long that lasts for Sally in the Big Brother house when virtually no-one knows who she is. I hope she copes as there is sure to be a lot of drunken antics: the program makers will ensure that.
We found out how Pamela Bach Hasselhoff played hard to get with David Hasselhoff. Not! Apparently Kerry Katona is “done with men.” She seems to like Jedward, though, or Pinky and Perky as Paddy called them! Kerry has actually worked out which twin is which. Sally should have known to give up on talking women’s rights with Paddy far earlier than she did. But at least they both finished with laughter and no blood was spilled.
Kerry Katona failed to be chosen as the Biggest Diva in the house. Every vote except Kerry’s own went to Jedward! Kerry’s punishment was that she was to face the public vote for eviction this week, and also had to nominate (publicly) two other housemates for the public vote. After a lot of drama, she chose Bobby Sabel because she doesn’t really know him and he won’t open up to her. Her second nomination was Sally Berkow.
If Kerry Katon had thrown a diva tantrum like that earlier, she probably would have succeeded in her task.
So what do you think of the first day of “Celebrity Big Brother”? Who will be our first evictee next Saturday?
So, up for eviction next Friday are Kerry, Sally and Bobby. Kerry Katona should be safe! The public are voting to save their favorite and Kerry Katona should do well against the other two who don’t even make the UK celebrity Z list!
