“American Idol’s” Lauren Alaina Debuts First Music Video

“American Idol” runner up Lauren Alaina has debuted her first music video for her debut single, “Like My Mother Does.”

The popular, largely country singer, who came in second place in this year’s “American Idol” behind winner Scotty McCreery, said that she thinks her first video is “really great.” She hopes her fans will get to know her more through it.

Alaina talked about the music video, which is very personal, featuring old photographs and home movie footage of her with her family.

“It shows my life, so people will know more about me after they see it.”

The photographs and home movie are projected onto a Southern-style house, which Alaina says is a beautiful setting.

The video was shot in Altadena in California by Nashville video director Shaun Silva. Lauren loves the autobiographical nature of the video, and her fans who followed her through the latest season of “American Idol” are sure to love it too.

Lauren Alaina recently said how excited she was about her debut single.

“I can’t believe that I have a song out on country radio, much less that so many stations started playing it right away. I can’t wait to get out and meet everybody and thank them personally for playing my song,” she said

As we reported to you “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery will release his “I Love You This Big” music video today. He has already teased us with a clip and a behind-the-scenes look.
